All three of our doctors attend several continuing education courses every year to keep current with advances and changes in the profession.

Doctor Jeanne L. McDonald
“Throughout my life, I’ve always looked at people’s smiles when I first meet them. An attractive smile is a confident smile, and I wanted a career that would allow me to help people achieve this. When I first started practicing orthodontics, I made a commitment to provide patients the highest quality of care possible. I use only the best, proven solutions and recommend them based on my patients’ individual needs.

“I enjoy getting to know my patients over the course of their treatment, which makes their visits a fun and positive experience. Finally, one of the greatest pleasures after being in practice for so many years is to meet former patients who thank me for their beautiful smiles and bring their children to our office for treatment.”

Doctor Bruce J. Podhouser
“Orthodontics was a natural path for me given my lifelong interest in science and the desire for a career which involves working with my hands. I work hard to make orthodontic care a comfortable and rewarding experience. One way I do this is by staying on top of the latest orthodontic advances and philosophies through extensive continuing education and journal review.

“Today, I offer my patients over 15 years of clinical experience along with the friendly, focused care they deserve. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to help patients of all ages achieve healthy, esthetically pleasing smiles that improve their self-image and increase their self-confidence. Doctor Stephen T. Saks
“Several of my family members are healthcare providers, and this greatly influenced my decision to become an orthodontist. I chose this specialty because I wanted to be able to help people achieve better self-esteem through an esthetic, warm and friendly smile. In addition, being an orthodontist allows me to interact with patients on a daily basis, which is something I really enjoy. I value the time I spend with my patients and look forward to learning something unique about each person, while at the same time providing a service from which they can benefit.

“I never forget that orthodontic treatment is new to most patients. For this reason, I like to take the time to explain everything clearly, particularly recent orthodontic advances such as the Damon® System, which uses continuous light forces, and Invisalign®, which moves teeth without traditional braces. My goal is to ensure that my patients and their families are fully informed and confident with their care, and together we can all work to get that exceptional finish for which Orthodontic Associates is known.”
